Sakada received her MFA in Creative Writing/Poetry from Antioch University Los Angeles and her BA in Journalism from the University of Michigan. She has taught in a variety of situations–from skid row workshops to university classrooms, in graduate and undergraduate programs. She currently runs GeniusWork Writing, where she coaches private clients and facilitates workshops. She is available for readings and as a speaker.
